Ever know what you want but can never find what your looking for. (Or what you are looking for is out of your budget) That’s me. I was working on my gallery wall for my master bedroom and I knew I wanted something rustic to hang a little printable on. Every thing I had already for my gallery wall was sleek and square and felt too composed. I needed something different to break it up. I had some scrap wood laying around from my barn door project that was just itching to be used. So here it is…Its SO easy. You can do it too.
What I used:
- Scrap wood
- Clipboard clip (found mine at Micheals)
- Spray paint
- Screw
- Mineral spirits
- Frame hanger (Also found at Micheals)
When spray painting, I use mineral spirits to clean off whatever it is that i’m spraying. A quick wipe on the clip and off I go to spray. On the clip I only did a quick one coat as I wanted to see some of the metal through the paint. I like the look that it has when against the old wood. The screw should also get a coat of paint, so that it blends with the clip. I only used one screw for the center, you can do all three if you want, your choice. Screw on the clip once it has dried. On the back, attach a frame hanger to the wood so the wood can be hung on the wall.
So simple
Once the clip is in place you can put anything on it. A photo, to do list, printable or favorite quote.
